Benni Esposito received an award in 2004 towards the creation of new work. "In his oils you can see Dundee multi's painted with all the Northern School relish of a Flemish painter's rendition of a merchant's Amsterdam residence, and alternatively, Madonna-esque women lovingly holding not bairns but bananas. He was the most serious of artists and consequently one of the funniest".
